Chapter 2: Pandora! My Lost Love!


VOCABULARY

1- Path: camino. It is a noun.
Way.
I don´t want to be late for the concert.

2- Kind: amable. It is an adjective.
Friendly.
The boy that I knew the other day is so kind.

4- polite: educado. It is an adjective.
Someone who has got a good education and behaviour.
We must be polite with teachers.

5- Round: ronda. It is a noun.
He beated his opponent in the first round.

6- Nearby: cercana. It is an adverb.
Near, close.
France is a country nearby Spain.

7- Shut: cerrar. It is a verb.
Close.
My brother never shut the door with a key.

8- Dining room: comedor. It is a noun.
Room where you eat.
In my school there wasn´t a dining room.

9- Choking: ahogado. It is a verb.
When you can´t breathe because there is something in your throat.
Last summer I saw a man who was choking but the lifeguard take him out of the water.

10- Ruined: estropeado. It is an adjective.
Broken, damaged.
I fell of the bike and my knees´skin is now ruined.

11- Selfish: egoísta. It is an adjective.
It is a person who doesn´t lend his things to others.
When I was a little girl I never lent my toys. I was a selfish girl.

12- Suppose: creer/ suponer. It is a verb.
Imagine something.
I suppose that my mother will be at home this evening because she doesn´t have to work.

13- Sick: harto. It is a verb.
You are tired of something.
My mum is sick of her work.

14- Barking: ladrar. It is a verb.
Sound that the dogs makes.
The neighbour´s dog is barking all the time.

15- Wrong: equivocado. It is an adjective.
Confusiong something.
He told me he was wrong and I was right.

16- Mood: humor. It is a noun.
Temperament.
My mother is always on a bad mood.

17- Weak: débil. It is an adjective.
Having little strength.
When I don´t eat I feel so wear.

18- Noticed: notar. It is a verb.
Yesterday, the teachers didn´t notice that I hadn´t come to class.

19- Run over: atropellar. It is a verb.
Passing over something or somebody with a car.
The other day someone ran over a lady.

20- Cross: enojado. It is an adjective.
Angry.
My father is cross with is boss because he is got a lot of work.

21- Jealous: celoso. It is an adjective.
Having envy of somebody.
My friend is jealous because her boyfriend has got a lot of girls in his social network profile.


SUMMARY

In the last January´s two weeks a lot of things happened. Nigel, Adrian´s friend wanted to go to the cinema with Adrian but he had to go to the doctor because of his spot. However, the doctor told him that he shouldn´t worry about it.
One Sunday, Adrian gave some comics to poor people. Some days, Adrian got a newspaper round and he visited Mr Baxter who is an old man.
Wednesday, Lucas got the divorce and Adrian´s mother went to visit him.
Adrian´s mother was looking for a job and she got it.
Adrian was sad because his friend Nigel was going out with Pandora and Nigel knew that Adrian was in love with her.
