Chapter 6: My Mother Leaves with Mr Lucas.

VOCABULARY

Affair: aventura/ lío. It is a noun.
It is a relationship between two people who aren´t married to each other but who have got a husband or a wife.
My neighbour has an affair with other neighbour. I know it because I saw them yesterday.

Tracksuit: chándal. It is a noun.
Clothes that we use to run or t be casual.
Yesterday I broke my tracksuit because I fell to the floor.

Shaving razor: Máquina de afeitar. It is a noun.
You use it to shave the beard.
My father broke the shaving razor.

Nude: desnudo. It is an adjective.
Person who doesn´t have any clothes on.
In a nudist´s beach you don´t wear a swimsuit.

Telly: Televisión. It is a noun.
Television.
Yesterday I watched a good programme on the telly.



SUMMARY

Adrian´s mother and Mr Lucas told to Adrian´s father that they would go to Sheffield. Mr Lucas and Adrian´s father fought in the garden. Adrian was very sad because he saw the scene and every neighbour saw it too.
The 2nd April was Adrian´s birthday and he had a lot of presents.
Adrian thought that his father was a suicidal and he hid his shaving razor.
Adrian´s grandma came to tea and her visit was awful, so they were happy when she went home.
Adrian´s mother told him that he could go to spend some days with them when they found a home.
Adrian´s father had a friend and he wanted Adrian to meet her.
Adrian went to Nigel´s house because he was home alone. They drank whisky and Adrian didn´t like it.
