Chapter 4: Labour on Elm Tree Avenue.



VOCABULARY

Lounge: sala. It is a noun.
Place where you can relax.
I meet with my best friend in a lounge to eat a cake.

Lip: labio. It is a noun.
It is a mouth´s part. It is under the nose.
I have got an injury in the lip.

Properly: correctamente. It is an adverb.
Correctly.
I did my homework properly.

Supper: cena ligera. It is a noun.
A light dinner.
Yesterday I eat a salad for my supper.

Delivering: repartiendo.Deliver: repartir. It is a verb.
To carrying something to a destination.
My mum delivered the sweets to the children.

Bra: sujetador. It is a noun.
It is a piece of clothes used by women to cover their brests.
Yesterday I bough a bra.

Be fond of: Tener cariño. It is a verb.
To love to someone.
I am fond of my fiend Laura.

Mad: loco/histérico. It is an adjective.
Nervous,annoyed.
I am so mad because I haven´t passed my English exam.

Joined: Unió. Join: unir. It is a verb.
Connect. Link.
He joined the two puzzle pieces together.

Punctured: pinchó. Pinchar. It is a verb.
To make a perforation in something.
Yesterday I punctured my ball.

Headmaster: director. It is a noun.
The principal person in the school. The person who rules in a school.
My headmaster´s school is very outgoing.



SUMMARY

There were more arguments between Adrian´s parents because the father was very jealous by Mr Lucas.
Adrian did his paper round and that day he gave the wrong newspapers and he also delivered them late because he saw Pandora. However, Adrian´s boss was very happy with his work and gave Adrian more money and a rude magazine called Big and Bouncy. That was the same magazine that Mr Lucas had bought when Adrian was in the newspaper shop!
Adrian didn´t want to do sport but at last, Adrian did it and played football with his dog and his classmates.
