Chapeter 4: Safe Again.

SUMMARY

Hawk- eye, who had shoot an Indian, Uncas and Chingachgook appeared behind some bushes. Then, they and Heyward fought against Magua and three Hurons. All the Hurons, except Magua, who ran away, were killed. Cora, Alice and Gamut were now untied. Then, the Mohicans, Heyward, Gamut, Hawk-eye and Munro sisters went down the slope and they found Cora and Alice´s horse and some deer meat that the Hurons had hunted. Besides, there was a spring nearby and they rested for a while.
Later, they went to Fort William Henry but on the way they decided to stay at the wooden house which the Mohicans had built some years ago to be safe from the attacks. All the Mohicans except Uncas and Chingachgook died. On the grass there was a Mohican dead and when the Hurons saw him, they ran away because they were afraid of the dead´s ghost. Finally, when the Hurons disappeared, they arrived at Fort William Henry.
