Chapter 3: Magua´s Plans.

SUMMARY

Hawk-eye and the Mohicans went to Fort William Henry and they left the others hidden in a passage where the Hurons could not find them.Later, the Hurons found the cave but they did not see the others because Heyward made a wall of branches and blankets in the cave. Magua was sitting in the main entrance of his hiding place and when Heyward saw Magua he shot him but Magua ran off safe and sound.. For that reason, the Hurons found them and asked them about where Hawk- eye and the Mohicans were. Then, the prisioners, who were their wrists tied a rope, got in the canoe with some Hurons and they sailed across the river until they arrived at the other bank. Eventually, Magua said that he wanted Cora to marry him because he hated her father but Cora refused his proposal. Finally, Heyward wrestled with the Indian but the Hurons fell dead at Heyward´s side because someone had shot them.
